Electrochemical study of the mechanisms of corrosion and inhibition processes.
Kinetic studies of adsorption by using electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance
techniques (QCM, EQCM).
• Research and development of new environmentally acceptable corrosion inhibitors for different structural metals (copper) used in cooling water systems, investigation of the synergistic effect among inhibitor blend components. • Study of relationships between the structure and inhibition efficiency of corrosion inhibitors. Explanation of corrosion and inhibition mechanisms based on the molecular structural properties. • Kinetic study of scale formation and its inhibition. Development of new scale inhibitors for cooling and Gas and Oil Field systems. • Preparation of self-assembled mono- and multilayers on metal surfaces (Copper). In situ investigation of morphological properties and kinetics of layer formation by using electrochemical techniques. |
