Research Interests
• Electrochemical study of the mechanisms of corrosion and inhibition processes. Kinetic studies of adsorption by using electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance techniques (QCM, EQCM).
• Research and development of new environmentally acceptable corrosion inhibitors for different structural metals (copper) used in cooling water systems, investigation of the synergistic effect among inhibitor blend components.
• Study of relationships between the structure and inhibition efficiency of corrosion inhibitors. Explanation of corrosion and inhibition mechanisms based on the molecular structural properties.
• Kinetic study of scale formation and its inhibition. Development of new scale inhibitors for cooling and Gas and Oil Field systems.
• Preparation of self-assembled mono- and multilayers on metal surfaces (Copper). In situ investigation of morphological properties and kinetics of layer formation by using electrochemical techniques.
